Apple’s A13 Bionic CPU
Not much is known about Apple’s newest CPU that is
supposed to drive the iPhone 11 and probably any
successor of the iPad lineup. However it is known that
it is fabbed at 7nm structure width. Thanks to TSMC.

It seems as if the squared camera bump design also is coming to
the iPhone XR successor. While this could make sense (namely
same frame design of the housing (or nearly the same…)) it is also
to underline the unity in the design timeline.
Okay… is this another “company X sues Apple” post?
Umm… no! In this case Apple got sued by a New York
teen citized who allegedly got arrested for multiple theft
in Apple’s flagship stores in New York.
When it comes to LTE Advanced, so called 5G, Samsung
already has released their first smartphone to do so. 5G
is already launched in some countries already for usage.
But what phone should you buy now? Hard to say…
Well just few days ago, one would have thought, it’s the final
showdown between Apple and Qualcomm especially with
Apple having four more chip manufacturers at hand who also
stated that Qualcomm’s practices about license fees aren’t ok!
It gets uglier and uglier in the fight between Qualcomm and Apple
But now there’s a new competitor in the house. With four new
fighters on the side of Apple, the tide may turn against Qualcomm.
Not less than 27 billion(!) US$ are on stake here!
Hardly any other brand has such interest when it comes
to future releases of devices. Apple’s iPhone has a wide
fan community who give suggestions on how the
upcoming generation of the iPhone might look alike.
What sounds like a bad joke actually took place: Two chinese
students were importing a whole bunch of counterfeit iPhones
that could not be switched on but looked quite identical to
their pricey example from Apple.
Apple has put up 14 (another writing form for 1.1.1.1) in the
app store to make Cloudflare’s proxy available to Apple users.

used easily on an iOS device.

locked down to the USA since it’s release. With the new
release of WatchOS 5.2 this has changed: The ECG feature
has been made available outside USA now.
Quicktime facing end of life soon. Apple dropping
32bit-Support in MacOS thus cutting off Quicktime,
Cinepak, Radium and DivX video codec support.
This means 64bit-capable codes are the only choice.
When Meng Wanzhou was arrested in Canada
accused for industrial spionage her personal
goods were also seized for forensic investigation.
Interesting that she uses an Apple iPhone…
When it comes to new gadgets and releases, Apple
is always in line for surprises. But also the apple fan
community takes it’s time to create interesting
mockup concepts of possible upcoming devices.
Apple has released new devices of their iPad mini.
The 7th generation of the iPad Mini now supports
the Apple Pencil 1st generation and comes with
the A12 Bionic processor but without FaceID.
When you speak of Privacy, then mostly the own
data is meant. Where Cloud Services and also
manufacturers of hardware, like Apple or Samsung
point out to be safe, Apple sees their hardware safe!
This may not be a good day for Qualcomm at all!
In the ongoing fight between Qualcom and Apple
it seems as if Apple sees some light in the case.
Qualcomm demands patent royalties from Apple.
While other smartphone companies prefer the
spotlight of the MWC to show their latest phones
and software releases, Apple prefers to hold their
own event inhouse to do so.
It seems as if Qualcomm tries to squeeze out
money from Apple wherever possible. Their
newest lawsuit case is about 31 million US$
for three patent infringements.
The Fight between Apple and Qualcomm is still ongoing but
Apple found a way to circomvent the sale prohibition spoken
in favor to Qualcomm in December 2018. Now you can get the
“old” series iphones again using Qualcomm modems.
Apple is known for it’s policy about new products being held
secretly until the publication on their events. With the long
awaited AirPower charge station, there was also a teaser for
new AirPods to be released as well.
It seems as if the new A13 boinic chip for the upcoming iPhone
models will again be manufactured by TSMC. This, because TSMC
is the only chip foundry that can produce reliably using the 7nm
process where other foundries still aren’t able to yield 10nm stable!
The fight “Qualcomm vs. Apple” goes to the next round.
As FTC yesterday stated, the evidence against Qualcomm
is overwhelming yet hasty conclusions are not to be made!
The case to be fully analyzed will definitely take some time!
This is actually a serious bug that forced Apple to take down
the GroupChat function in FaceTime until further notice. But
what has happened? It seems as if you can spy on your call
partner using GroupChat without him noticing it!
WHat if your phone’s UI would adapt to the light source
outside and give you the feeling of real 3D of the UI?
It seems as if Bob Burrough has done exactly that. What
is early alpha state, looks promising though!
The iPhone XS series is just out for 3 months, but still there are
already rumors about the upcoming generation of the iPhone.
First leaks have shown a triple-Camera in a caret design with
the soft slope like the iPhone 7/8. But now there’s a new type.
Well, the fight isn’t fought yet. While Qualcomm is
probably celebrating it’s win in the first step against
Apple, Apple itself has today announced to file an
appeal against the verdict that has been issued.
We can’t exactly say what has happened. But it seems
as if Apple Stock shares have had a real bad impact.
Dropping from 157.18 down to 142.13 is really baffling!
What could have caused that massive drop?
Apple is no longer allowed to sell iPhones in Germany!
The models iPhone 7, 8 and X are no longer allowed to
be sold directly by Apple! The reason is a lawsuit filed
in Germany for Apple infringing Qualcomm patents.
A new level in the fight between Qualcomm and Apple
has been reached. Qualcomm is seeking for a sale ban
of certain iPhone models. Affected are iPhone 7,8 and
the X. The XS, XS Max and XR are not affected.
Well it was only a matter of time until someone would release an
online video on “Who builds the better phone” with actual compe-
titors. Today we’ll see the Apple XS Max perform against the
Huawei Mate P20 Pro. Huawei says, they have have beat Apple!
When Australia has passed the anti-encryption law, things couldn’t
be more worse for tech companies that sell products that warrant
one’s privacy. Apple and other technology companies have already
signalled opposition to the doubtful law. What will come next?
It took quite a while for Apple to get the license to offer
Apple Pay together with most major banks in Germany.
While ApplePay is availabe to other countries for years,
the final switch has been triggered in germany today.
