announcement for the upcoming, second event which
we all hope to see the new iPhones presented on. But
not only new iPhones might be shown…
When it comes to security, Apple still sets a high level.
However there are now issues with the T2 security chip
that cannot be ironed out at all. This could allow hackers
to compromise T2-equipped devices easily via USB.
TSMC is going to fab 5nm processors soon.
Samsung Electronics and TSMC have started
fabbing in 5nm in order to have next-gen SoCs
available for their next-gen flagship phones.
When it comes to Apple Maps, it’s like a big fight
between Google an Apple of who has the better
Maps app. For now, Google still leads the race due
to it’s early start and implementation of new features.
When it comes to smartwatches, Apple is in the lead even
though there are a lot of Android-based smartwatches on
the market. In general, Apple has a domination with their
smartwatches with an estimated 120 million sold units so far!
Seems as if Apple has ironed out some nasty glitches and
bugs with their newest iOS release. Among the security flaw
of the parental control app to allow children to add new
contacts without the security code they also solved audio issues
It seems that some services (especially update delivery)
don’t run flawless today. If you tried to update your iOS
or Apple tvOS to a newer version you might have found
yourself left with an error message that the update failed.
It took a while until Apple finally brought the
Mac Pro to stores. Now even the rack-mount
version is available in the Apple online store.
There’s one catch: It costs 700 dollars more…
Well… when the sum is 60.000 Euros
(or 52.000 US$ in the USA), one would
think of an either exclusive PC with an
even more exclusive case.
5G was always a difficult thing for the USA. While
Huawei is being locked out as a supplier for 5G
despite bing the world leader in 5G technology,
Trump sees Apple in charge to take this part.
Smart speakers begin to dominate ones’ homes in these days
but is that a good thing or not? What if these speakers and
their built-in assistants begin to eavesdrop on you and steal
your sensitive data like passwords and the like?
According to a new screenshot online it seems as if the new AirPods Pro
might come in different colors. Also it’s speculated that they will make
their appearance soon, possibly next week. Price-wise, they will be at
249 US$, with the case even scratch the 300 US$ line.
With iOS13, the Dark Mode came to iOS as well and the question
is, will it help improving battery run time on the iPhones as well?
Since OLED consumes more power when showing white screen,
the Dark Mode could be a game changer.
There are new rumors from Asia that the new AirPods 3 (Pro)
might be available in stores very soon. With updated specs
and a possible ANC function, they will be also more expensive.
The AirPods 2 are 180 US$, 230 with the case.
Apple seems to address a lot of bugs that still keep being
a nuisance to users using devices with iOS13. The newest
release just before 13.2 is another small hotfix which now
addresses Bluetooth connections constantly dropping.
The iPad Pro is indeed the smaller version of a MacBook. And thus
it’s obvious that there may be useful gadgets for it like keyboards!
In this case, Libra sets a new high for what’s possible, especially with
iOS13 being released with its new features and OS capabilities.
Most likely you all have wondered why DXOMark has not yet
released any review about the iPhone 11 series yet. The official
statement is that Deep Fusion, a technology that helps impro-
ving the image quality even further is not yet available.
The iPhone 2G (first iPhone) in 2007 was THE highlight
in the mobile phone scene when Steve Jobs has presented
his idea to the media and public. A phone almost without
physical buttons. JerryRigEverything gets to the innards.
IFixit has done it again and finally the flagship of iPhones
has been disassembled and looked into more detail. So
what’s inside the new iPhone 11 Pro Max and is it worth
the massive price? And is it easily repairable?
If you ever wondered what the video quality of the iPhone 11 is,
the following video (downsized to FullHD) might give you an idea.
For what we can say now, this looks awesome and gives the
iPhone 11 Pro a high must-have factor!
The all-new iOS13 has not yet been released to the public but it
already has a security flaw in it. Again the security hole is found in
the lockscreen. With Voiceover, Siri and the Answer with Message
feature it is possible to reveal contacts which wouldn’t show up.
With the new iPhone 11 being presented, the preorders
have been takeing place by now and it seems that some
models of the iPhone 11 won’t reach you before October.
Especially the Midnight Green edition seems to be desired.
Welcome to the Apple Event on September 10.
We’re live-blogging for you here all the new things about
what’s coming to us from Apple in the next weeks.
Follow the live blog here:
It seems as if Apple plans the next-step authentication
method where user recognition is based upon skin
structure detection. Apple has filed the corresponding
patent yesterday. This could start a new UserID era!
Only 8 more nights to sleep until Apple will unveil it’s
newest gadgets to the public. Besides the anxiously
awaited iPhone XI (iPhone Pro?) there’s also a new
16-inch MacBook Pro exprected to be shown.
Apple finally breaking with a long-kept Ally? It seems
as if Apple now will completely put Lightning to sleep.
According to a Twitter screenshot, the Apple iPhone XI
won’t feature a Lightning port anymore. Surprising!
Ever wondered which app requests your location at which time and
at which location? Then you might be dazzled to read that iOS13
will have a feature that allows you to check about just that. And even
better: You can grant access from there once or always.
The WWDC 2019 in San José, CA is one of Apple’s bigger events mostly
dealing with the upcoming iOS, MacOS, WatchOS and TVOS versions.
In this year Apple however has added the “Oh… one more thing” spice
again. Quite unexpected yet expected at the big Apple event though…
We all love our gadgets. The Apple Watch is in it’s 4th
generation. Like every other device with Gorilla Glass, also
the Apple Watch may get a shattered glass if it falls on it.
Will it be repairable then or is it scrap worth 400US$ then?
If you can trust some analysts’ expectations and researches,
then the next big thing of Apple will have some interesting
changes: TouchID is coming back, the camera will definitely
receive some upgrades and 3D Touch will be gone.
Not much is known about Apple’s newest CPU that is
supposed to drive the iPhone 11 and probably any
successor of the iPad lineup. However it is known that
it is fabbed at 7nm structure width. Thanks to TSMC.
It seems as if the squared camera bump design also is coming to
the iPhone XR successor. While this could make sense (namely
same frame design of the housing (or nearly the same…)) it is also
to underline the unity in the design timeline.
