iPad, Ultrabook, Netbook, Notebook…
Just today, when I’ve commented a new blog from Rosiv, I
noticed that this was also a critic review on how time has
changed about mobile hardware and what we can do with
it there and now.
Just today, when I’ve commented a new blog from Rosiv, I

You probably have downloaded and installed Apps from AppStore if you have
an iDevice. You buy, download and install additional Apps to enhance the
function of your mobile assistant. However in the past months, more and more
fake Apps seem to flood Apple’s AppStore and pester it with non-working Apps.
So… Apple has brought out the new iPad (that’s also the official sale name!) and
one of it’s advertised features is LTE. LTE, standing for Long Term Evolution, is
a new transmission standard in the wireless communication and allows higher
bandwidths. multiple frequency bands are used to be omni-compatible.
Just few hours after the keynote and the presentation of the new iPad, Apple
has released the new iOS update. While I thought, this might not work by now
the update however finished successfully and in a reasonable time. No long
waiting times for the download and the installation process passed by quickly!
Seems that the newest OS of Apple will be called “Mountain Lion”. After “Snow lepard” it’s a
logic sequence. Seems Apple has been into felines recently if you look at the naming of all
OSX versions. But hey, it’s only creative I think, especially when you look up the
codenames for Windows: XP=Whistler, Vista=Longhorn, Seven=Vienna.
Samsung is about to release another Galaxy Tab. Rumors exist that the new tablet will have
a 7″ display and a not specified Dualcore ARM processor. The specs are almost the same as
of the current Galaxy Tab. So I don’t see the additional value aghainst the current models
except that Samsung is probably trying to avoid Apple’s sale prohibition.
So the final word in one lawsuit against Samsunghas been spoken. While Apple
also has other fights against Samsung, the one about the Galaxy Tab 10.1 N is
now at an end in favor to Samsung. The german courthouse in Düsseldorf has
decided that the marginal changes of the design are sufficient.
It’s been awited for so long and the rumors start to roll around. the iPad 3 is,
besides the iPhone 5 one of the items, Apple fans are waiting for. Rumors
spread that in March, Apple could release the new iPad 3. A product show
is awaited for February 24th, the birthday of Steve Jobs.
So… Apple again. Rumors say that the new iPad 3 will be presented on February 24th, as
it is the birthday of Steve Jobs who passed away this year on October 5th. What’s most
interesting, is that there are also plans for a small form-factor iPad with a 7inch screen.
It’s probably only a rumor but hey, other companies have all sizes in their portfolio!
So for all of you winter-loving people, here comes the new ultimate iPad!
Although it is not the way, most people have expected the new iPad that is sort
of overdue, the concept and design are by far superior to the classic models that
are currently out. Imagine what crazy stuff you can do with that thingy!
Well… Christmas is in the Go and if you thought, They’re giving Apple a break
(or vice versa), then you’re definitely wrong. Samsung again tries to raise three
more lawsuits (in total 7 then) to even up with Apple, who claim 6 lawsuits
against Samsung at the moment. The patents are very trivial!
It seems to be a black day for Apple. The courts in Germany have decided that Apple
violates a patent of Motorola that deals with GPRS. Apple still seems to be calm yet
announced to take further actions against the verdict. Apple also doesn’t see it’s christmas
business endangered although Apple is currently not allowed to release new devices.
Samsung and Apple have reached a new agreement level. So Apple may sell
the iPhone 4S again in France while Samsung may sell the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in
Australia. It seems as if a long-lasting fight finally reaches an end. However
There are still some lawsuits pending… it stays interesting so far!
Seems, Microsoft is trying to bring out a similar feature, called TellMe, as Apple
has with Siri. However the successful recognition rate is far behind Apple’s Siri.
Now you could impute pro-Apple advertisement to me but I don’t need to do
any way of commercial advertisement for apple or the like. A video shows, why!
The iPhone 4S hit’s the negative news again… Long waiting times, short battery
life… and now, annoying ticks and pops during some calls seem to add to the list
of bugs of Apple’s newest coup. It seems as if Apple has to deal with some real
nasty issues concerning design and technics of the iPhone 4S.
The rumors start cooking again. Samsung is said to be shoing the new Galaxy S3 on the
Mobile World Congress in Spring 2012 and Apple seems to be finally working on the
iPhone 5. So what’s up? The Galaxy S3 shall come with a 1.5GHz quadcore processor
while the iPhone 5 is still only a visual concept with no further details.
Today, Apple has got the patent on location-based information services. Using
GPS to locate the user and then providing him/her with the available infor-
mation available to that location seems to be a growing market. No wonder,
Apple wants to protect this kind of intellectual property…
It ain’t a good day for Apple. Today, Charlie Miller has shown another exploit,
that could Apple bring some big problems. The reason: an unobtrusive stock
ticker app. The purpose (besides shoing stock tickers): Getting access to the
inner core applications and files of iDevices. No wonder, Apple striked back!
Todays news hit Apple very hard: Motorola, holder of two patents, Apple is
violationg, has reached that the sale of iPhones is prohibited in Germany. As
the christmas sale is just around the corner, this is by far the worst news,
Apple could get these days. So which patents has Apple violated anyways?
Well… maybe you’ve already read about it or heard of: Apple has just filed for
patents of 3D gestures for a device to be steered with. Today I was astounded
to see that a rather unknown manufacturer of cell phones has released a final
version of a 3D gesture-controlled cell phone. Looks great so far!
And on Sunday there’s also a new Apple message. One that might shock you.
Apple, usually known for their real closed-source attitude has decided to
male the ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio Codec) available to all programmers.
They plan to release the full sourtce code and API to the interested.
So… when checking the web again, I found something really disturbing!
The iPhone 4S is yet really desired and waiting times for Apple’s newest
smartphone is at up to three weeks. One of it’s most advertized features:
Siri! Apple says that Siri is demanding lots of CPU power. True?
Apple has done many lawsuits in the past. And one was about their logo where
it was hard for me to find similarities that may infringe with patents or copy-
rights of the Apple company in Cupertino (read here). This time I think, they’ve
gone too far! A small tea room owner got sued for her logo she has patented.
October 14th, Munich 5a.m. – What’s so special about this time and date?
Well, Rosiv is waiting for getting his hands on the new iPhone 4S and decided to
get in the waiting line at this time that grew until Rosengraben which means
approx 100 metres of people! (300 upon a blog entry). YIKES!
Okay, it’s well-known that Apple has released the iOS5 update today. I hooked
my iPhone to my laptop as well and wanted to apply the update. Nothing special
you think because Apple=Plug it in, switch on and you’re done! Sounds nice but
ain’t always the truth. So here’s my update-odyssey of my iPhone 4 to iOS5…
Today I checked out another app on my iPhone. The App, called TimeLapse, is
able to do timelapse-picture-based movies. As I had no actual idea what to
image out and have it rendered to a timelapse movie, I today thought, hey, why
not line-up a sunset movie from home. So I put my iPhone on a safe stand.
The news could not be sadder this time! The Apple-Founder and later inven-
tion genius Steve Jobs has passed away on Wednesday. Just one day after the
2011 October keynote where the new iPhone 4S has been published. Now the
reason is clear why Steve Jobs was not on the keynote event or did show up.
Ouch! This really hurts! Seems as if Samsung now reacts on Apple’s denial to
Samsung’s offer to agree in the lawsuit iPad2 vs Galaxy Tab 10.1
Samsung now tries to stop the sale of the new iPhone 4S unfurled yesterday.
Should Samsung be successful, it could hurt Apple a lot! Target: Christmas sale
No other event is so desperately awaited than Apple’s Keynote October 2011
that will start right now. Then, Apple will show the upcoming gadgets to the
masses and will introduce you to the new iOS 5 that will also be released with
the new devices and also made available to the older devices.
It seems, the newer phones from this taiwanese manufacturer seem to suffer
from an immense security leak that allows spying on your personal data you
probably want to know safe and sound by any means. It seems, HTC has a
program package installed that allows gathering information out of your…
Seems as if the guys at Cupertino get no rest at all. Now a real near competitor
from Fremont (That’s approx. 7 miles away from Cupertino) is suing Apple for
patent violations. S3 formerly known for integrated GPU and much earlier also
known for own graphics cards, sees two of it’s patents violated by Apple.
POW! Samsung has given second serving to Apple. It seems as if Samsung also
plans to prohibit the sale of the upcoming iPhone 5 in Europe also. Basis of the
sale prohibition is still the violation of wireless technologypatents Samsung is
holding. If a sale prohibition would actually come true, iPhone 5 may delay!
