Well… As you probably know, I am ahold of the newer gadgets of Apple and
so it’s only guessable that the new iPad Pro is now at my hands, too. While
other online mags get their gadgets free for testing purposes, mine are 100%
self-bought, so you can expect an untainted objective review here!
The lightshow of Rendez-Vous Bundesplatz 2015 is finally online.
With this, you will also find a new Media link in the top menu
where all related microsites to different (bigger) videos that are
exclusively made for this blog.
Microsoft has just unveiled their new line of Surface tablets.
But despite of being a tablet, Microsoft sees their Surface Pro 4
as a new laptop. With the power of the new Intel Skylake CPUs
the compute power shall even outwit the 2015 MacBook Pro.
As always, if there’s a new gadget to be checked, I am at the
race line to check up these. However it took quite some time
as I was not yet willing to purchase one yet. A sweepstake from
ewb Bern however changed things quickly.
Ever been annoyed of a very slow internet? Yeah, me too!
Okay, a 250 Mbit/s line for downstream isn’t slow at all but…
if there wasn’t the notorious break on the upstream. And that’s where ewb enters the game with Fiber Internet.
As you might have noticed, I haven’t been posting for quite
a while now. Reason for this is that work and freetime in
summer consume a lot of time which means that my computer
is off most of the time.
Some of us still can remember films like Blade Runner or other
futuristic movies that show displays larger than houses or such
ones that are simply wall-mounted and flat. Okay, some newer
TV models are also extremely slim today. But…
Long time I doubted that I’ll ever use a Mac beside my Windows
environment but sometimes something new has to come, espe-
cially when new knowledge has to be built. So since I already
have made my experiences with Linux (and it’s kinks), well…
Today it’s time again for April’s fools! Have you been caught
with fake messages or pranks played on you? If not (like me),
there’s some more subtle yet recognizable Aprils Fools news.
If possible, I’ll consolidate the best ones here for you.
It’s not very often that Apple makes big announcements. However today
Apple might again dazzle the people with new gadgets and news about
iOS, OS X and their homemade Apps. Especially the focus on the Apple
Watch is enormous as it has been announced with the iPhone 6 already.
As if things wouldn’t be grim enough when it comes to privacy
and security, this new case of fatal security breach is going to
mean big trouble not only for Lenovo and their security tool.
The reason is the infestation of the HTTPS-mechanism in common.
It was a hefty reaction today at the stock echanges worldwide and
even currency exchange markets had a big shock when the Swiss
National Bank declared to drop the Euro floor. From the magic
1.20 CHF line, the Euro noted at lowermost 0.82 CHF.
As if things aren’t complicated already with Windfows machines and Mac
computers seemd to be the save haven for all those users who don’t want
to waste time on thinking about virus scanners and the like, there’s now a
very disturbing news circulating around.
As you might have already noticed, UK premier Cameron today stated that
encrypted chat tools on either device shall no longer be allowed or they get
banned (in the UK). Okay, the terror act in Paris wasn’t very good either
but using this as a reason to disallow normal people have privacy?
Sorry folks for the long no-update period. My schedule at work is,
simply said, extremely overloaded and thus updates to my blog are
seeded a bit rare. So today, this is just a small word from me as I am
collecting information for 2015 and what to post about.
As if the bentgate affair of Apple iPhone 6 (Plus) wasn’t already a shock for
the entire mobile phone business, Vivo tries to claim new records with their
recently announced Vivo 5S. Although no Vivo phone has hit the EMEA
market so far (and probably never will), the specs are just crazy.
It seems as if Apple is ready to release the next technical gadgets on
their users. The last event was just month ago whereiPhone 6 and 6 Plus
had their debute while the “one more thing” was the Apple Watch. But
what has missed, was an iPad with Touch ID. Apple TV was also expected.
Hardly any other phone has received that much attention
than the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Where the phone became
highly anticipated in September 19th, 2014 by many users,
the Android users made a lot of fun of them.
So the event is over and we’re about to get the new phones from Apple soon.
While the iPhone 6 is the substantial evolution (and 8th generation) of the
iPhone era, the iPhone 6 Plus sets another milestone in Apple’s history of
breaking the rules. For the first time, Apple follows the market’s demands.
The event has begun and with it, there will be live blogging available.
Please feel free to follow the live blog event from within the entire
post as live blogging on the posts overview doesn’t make much sense.
Enjoy another fine event with hopefully some good new gadgets!
Only eleven more days to go until Apple lifts the curtains and
shows us our possible new communication companions. But
not only the iPhone 6(L) is/are to be presented. New rumors
came up telling that Apple will also show the iWatch.
A few months ago, I have read an article about LeGioN Meter, a USB
dongle that overrides the host recognition and thus allows USB devices
to drag the most power available. When visiting the Kickstarter page of
PLX devices, another gadget pulled my attention to it: LeGioN!
September 9, 2014 could be another milestone for Apple. Not only
is the highly anticipated iPhone 6 to be shown then but also another

But finally they were able to win the fourth star on their football shirt.
The final game against Argentina was the hardest and most thrilling one!
120 minutes played and the 112th minute brought the final happiness!
Aereo, known as Online Stream Cloud service, allowed people
to watch TV shows via Cloud recording. Even timeshift was
possible which meant to advertisers loss of “customers” as
TV ads could easily be skipped by the touch of a button.
For some years, FullHD was the sufficient resolution for many areas
of entertainment, be it PC gaming, TV or console gaming. the PC
community however has evolved faster than the others and soon
2560×1600 became state of the art, also called 3K.
What you see left of this text is the actual size of a 128GB(!) microSDXC card on a
26″ screen which arrived today. with a size if 12x8x1mm this is the smallest
biggest memory card that can actually be used to expand a mobile phone’s

2.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000 US$ (= 2×10^36)
You may probably wonder about the big number followed by a dollar sign.
No, this isn’t the actual finacial debt of the USA. And no, this ain’t the
world’s total economic finance strength.
According to several mobile news sites, Windows Phone is getting
a File Manager which is desired by many WP8.1 users. There are
indeed Alternatives in MS Appstore but why not have it on board
already? It seems as if the File Manager will be available soon.
Firefox has released the new version of it’s browser. With Version 29 there
are a bunch of new things to look at: The Interface has been redesigned and
is now called “Australis”. Thus you’ll probably have noticed that the big
orange Firefox Menu button is now missing.
And Toshiba shifts up the gear! It seems that speed is crucial even with
the smallest memory products. According to size and capacity, the
microSDXC memory chip still beats them all as SanDisk has recently
released it’s 128GB microSDXC card. So what’s new?
