New Switch Pro to come?
The Switch from Nintendo is going to reach almost as high
sale figures as the Wii from 2006 which still is the leading
console with over 100 million sales. The Switch and Switch
Lite are at 61 million sales so far.

The next-gen Playstation is still a mystery as there’s
not much known about the console’s specs. However
Sony wants to outdo it’s worst enemy: Microsoft. The
fight about the best console is still present.
Who of you still know the high-end brand “Vaio” of Sony?
5 years after their last presentation of new notebooks it
seemed as if Sony had Vaio die in silence and focus solely
on entertainment devices. But now they’re back! And how!
Sony has just released a 48MP camera module for smartphones.
With a size of just 0.8μm per pixel this module is one of the
smallest and most high-resoluting CMOS sensor ever made for
smartphones. But what about the image quality?
So there it was… the presentation of the new Playstation 4. But unlike Apple,
Sony did not show the actual device in completion, only the new controller
and some tech demos on what the new console may be able to show. Also
the timeline is very tight as Holiday season 2013 usually means Christmas.
Not one year without new gadgets for technic enthusiasts. So is 2013 also no
exception and the first gadgets have already been shown on the CES or at
least announced. So let’s start: The Huawei Ascend Mate, a smartphone-tablet
with a 6.1 inch display will hit stores approx in March 2013.
Nintendo and Sony – archrivals since the very beginning of the game console
era. Even now it seems as if Nintendo seems to be much more successful as
these figures underline: While the PS Vita is sold 3 million times, the 3DS has
been sold 22 million times. A factor of 7 to 1 for Nintendo.
Sony Optiarc, manufacturer of many of the optical drives that spin your
discs in stereos, computers and other devices, has declared to stop the
production of optical drives. In times where most of the data is streamed
via cloud services and the internet, this seems logical.
It seems as if Sony also has problems with net profit loss. As the business
year is over now, Sony has announced that the net revenues have again
produced negative figures. Especially the TV sector is pruducing severe
losses. So Sony is taking action and laying off 11’000 people.
It seems as if Nintendo plans an own Online store for the WiiU. This way, Nintendo follows
the steps of Microsoft and Sony. Talking about the XBox. The new XBox 720 should be more
powerful (30 times) as the XBox 360 and 6 times more powerful as the WiiU. However
the sale of used games will be prohibited so that your game is tied to your console.
