The WEF is currently taking place in Davos, Switzerland.
Despite the media presence of some persons the main
topic will be again how to save the climate and how to
reduce the ecolgical footprint of each of us.

A long-lasting fight between USA and China is still ongoing.
Trading between these two countries has never been more
complicated and penalty taxes are the non-violent weapons.
But does the USA get what they want?

It is again hard times for the POTUS. We have seen a
governmental shutdown in the past and in 2018 es-
pecially on christmas it is happening again. So people
trying to use governmental services must be patient!

Harsh times that are ahead of the U.S. economy. While the last months have
helped many companies to catch ground again, it seems as if this time’s over
and bad times ahead again. The reason for this? The active Sequester Plan.
But not only this plan is responsible for the upcoming desaster.

It seems as if the EU had enough of all the wild west shoots from the US rating
agencies (Moody’s, Fitch, S&P). Since every new re-rating in the past year had
affected the european currency in a very negative effect, it seemd that the ra-
ting agencies took every news as a chance to re-rate european countries.

Interesting to see, how Facebook has performed just four weeks later.
And it seems as if the stock won’t go any further up so far as it’s value is
at 28.75 US$ by now. Thus, the stock noted still below initial value.
Rough time for Mark Zuckerberg and his try to go for $100 billion value!

It seems as if Sony also has problems with net profit loss. As the business
year is over now, Sony has announced that the net revenues have again
produced negative figures. Especially the TV sector is pruducing severe
losses. So Sony is taking action and laying off 11’000 people.

Many Airlines have been grounded in the past 10 years. About
200 in total! Today the third largest of them has been hit by
insolvency today. The American Airlines are well-known all over
the world, although they mostly operate US-regional flights. Continue Reading

Today, Standard&Poors have discredited France for a while by taking their top rating AAA
and downgrading it to AA. According to Standard&Poors, this was the result of a technical
issue where an automated system did not report proper values for France related to its
actual credit rating. France itself has started investigating in this case also.

What to say, the European Union and the Euro have an immense crisis for quite a long
time now. Fights here, financial cuts there, failing agreements there, all in all no unity
at all. Greece, actually the biggest debitor in the European Union seems not to agree to
the planned big payment cuts that Greece should do in order to “survive”.

Just three months ago, my blog had 14 entries from May to end of June. The July took
35 more posts and the August now was entirely filled. To say: Modern communication
makes it possible for us to share moments and ideas quicky, easy and impressive.
I am not of Generation facebook or twitter (yet I use them!) but my blog is certainly…

Today I was shocked to see that gas station keepers may receive bonuses by selling
gasoline at the highest possible prices possible. With this, automobilists might run
into a more and more competition-driven price for gasoline as gasoline station keepers
may chage the prices theirselves. The higher, the more bonuses they receive

When I stated 3 days ago that things would look grim but yet okay,I was wrong.
Today the stock markets have lost another 4 to 7% of their value. The market is
really upset and no one can deny it. Even the currencies have gone crazy as
hell. Was the Euro at 1.09 this morning, it lost until 1.05 at the current time.

As of today the U.S. Government has agreed to raise the debt level under the condition
to lower debts and state costs by 2.7 billion dollars within the next 10 years.
But as for now, the people seem very disappointed that the debt level raise will be a
reason for social and medical cutbacks and a possible tax raise…

Today it seems that something has again upset the financial markets. At exactly 14:34
the dollar suddenly crashed below 0.80 swiss francs and took two more steps with approx
0.0010 swiss francs within 5 minutes. I thought, it could have been a temporary bump
and relax in the meantime…

As you can see, the Euro is undergoing some loss of value compared to the Swiss Franc.
So is the Dollar and other currencies aswell.
But what makes the Swiss Franc so extremely strong compared to the other currencies?
Is it Switzerland with it’s well-known banks or some other factor?
