Stratolaunch – Roc is flying!
When it comes to huuuuuge airplanes, we all suddenly
think of the Airbus A380 or some others might also see
the Antonov 225 as being the largest flying plane to date.
But now the Roc enters the field.

You might wonder why this title of the post.
But in this case a plane is just parked in a spot
where you wouldn’t think of a plane to be at all!
In South Bali, a plane is in an odd place.
When businessmen want to travel, they want to do
so with style. Airbus and some intereur building
companies have presented their concepts on how
such a business jet might look like inside.
One should think that pilots of an airplane are aware of certain
permissins on flight duty. However the co-pilot of a chinese
airline thought that an e-cigarette couldn’t do anything bad.
Wrong! After he started smoking, the plane went into alert mode.
A land so far away? Not necessarily! The swiss airline PrivatAir has landed
a Boeing 737 the first time in Antarctica. The special weather conditions and
the ground made it necessary to train the staff more than one year until the
airline flew 32 research crew members of the norwegian polar institute there!
What sounds like a scene from Minority report or other SciFi movies has
actually happened in Germany. A little town, called Bocholt, has been
inspected using a plane and with it, a infrared camera was taking warmth
zone pictures to identify bad-isolated houses.
This video spectacularly shows how to stop bad guys trying to flee the cops
using the historical movie way: Taking off with a plane while a cop car chases
them. However in this case either the pilot did not give enough power to the
engines or the cops simply had a more powerful car. The result: Cops win!
Today, it is 10 years since the attack on the twin towers in New York and the
Pentagon. It was the most horrible situation, the USA had to face. The attack
cost 2977 people their lives. When the planes crashed into the
towers, no one before would have expected anything like that!
…where all those airplanes you see on the sky are going to?
I always wondered about the immense amount (spotting almost 5 or 6 planes on the sky
above Bern on a busy day!). More and more modern planes are equipped with a special
GPS sender that allows them to send their position to the different ground controls.
