Intel seems to have ideas for wireless charging of other peripherals wire-
lessly using induction. As smartphones more and more support inductive
charging, Intel wants to make a cooperation with IDT and place a charging

It seems as if the next-gen CPUs of Intel will be lithographed in 22nm structure size. Also
a new technology, called tri-gate transistors will be introduced. Instead of flat transistors
new three-dimensional gates will be used instead. With this technology, smaller structures
annd more transistor switches per mm² Die area are possible.

Today, Intel celebrates it’s 40th birthday. Exactly On November 15th, 1971,
the first Microprocessor with integrated circuitry has been publicly released.
With 2’300 transistors clocked at initially 108 kHz, later 0.7 MHz, the
processor was able to do 92’600 instructions per second.
