Apfelkind and Apple: Agreement in sight?

After 14 months it seems as if the small family cafe in Bonn, Germany finally
can stick to their logo without having to fear the wrath of the computer
and smartphone primus Apple. In October 2011, the owner of the small café

USA breaks it’s holiest taboo!

The USA and Barack Obama have ratified an agreement to raise the debt
limit as long as needed without any upper limit. This way, the USA is trying
to ensure it’s full liquidity. However there’s some stale taste with this as the
actual 16.4 trillion DS$ debt equals 100% of the annual US economic power!

Tumbleweed and their roadblock ability

Known usually from western films in silent situations, these rolling bushes
also known as tumbleweed, seem to have developed an ability to block the
road. This phenomenon is seen when the tumbleweed plants get mature and
detach from the roots. blown away by wind, they roll and spread their seed.

Magistratus corruptibus in Tel Aviv

Unbelievable: What looks like a plot for “Hidden camera: Fun with you” is in
fact the bitter truth for a clerk in Tel Aviv who parked her car on a free
parking lot. However the city authority of Tel Aviv was a bit consternated
about her parking there and decided to make her an official parking violator.

Stuttgart 21: Another big construction fail?

It has been one of the most criticized traffic optimization projects: Stutgart

Evasi0n to be the first to jailbreak iOS6

Long time, iOS6 was claimed to be the first unjailbroken iOS for the iDevices.
But Evasi0n seems to have made the impossible come true: Evasion has finally
jailbroken iOS6 family (and even in Untethered mode!). So while most of us
iDevice users are just fine with the basic iOS, experimenting users can rejoice.

Mac programs easily to crash

It seems as if Apple has an internal problem with the Spell checking routine that
is serving many programs in OS X to use the correct words. However a simple
string may crash exactly this routine as the string ends up in a procedure that is
not supported properly and thus crashing every application using Spell checking.

100 years Grand Central Station

In New York, one of the biggest train station is now 100 years old and still
withstanding old and new age. With 67 tracks of which no far-distance trains are
leaving, it is for sure the biggest suburb-connecting train station. Opened on
February 2nd, 1913 at exactly 12:01AM it marked a new train traffic era.

And my notebook goes Giga-WLAN…

Remember my post about Gigabit WLAN (a.k.a. WLAN 802.11ac standard)?
The problem was that I couldn’t get hands on a gigabit adapter to connect with
802.11ac standard. But already the a/b/g/n performance is already freaking!
272 MBit/s is possible with the builtin WLAN of my notebook. Fast already.
