Samsung presents 256GB DDR4 RDIMM

On PCs the RAM size is limited to 16GB per bank but yet
only 8GB are common and available. For faster RAM you
will have to take even smaller 4GB modules as the speed
takes it’s toll. But Samsung has set a new RDIMM record.

RAM, Storage and new lands to reach

Long time, the IT seems to have slept the winter over in order to feed
us with new data storage gadgets. Seagate has announced a 6TB drive,
SanDisk has announced it’s 128GB microSDXC and Hynix seems to
have built the first 128GB(!) DDR4 memory stripe.

The times of cheap RAM seem to be over, as memory manufacturers have set
their priorities to manufacture memory products for mobile devices.
Therefore, manufacturers of otebooks like ASUS and Acer are already
complaining about higher memory prices.
