Not that working on our blog is a hassle but
every update of PHP seems to cause error on
our blog here and there. So we decided to make
a massive jump to PHP7.3 from PHP5.6.41…

However some plugins ceased working or made other plugins go mad. Thus we have dropped them or replaced them with alternatives where possible.

We hope this does not interfere with your user experience anyways.

What we noticed is that the new version of PHP seems to run waaaaay faster than the old version. The blog renders faster and thus will show content faster.

As PHP7.3 has been released in December 7^th, 2018, we expect no major changes so soon and thus less downtime of the blog!
