After two pulls Microsoft has finally released Build 1809
for download for everyone. However this update isn’t
shown automatically and you have to manually trigger
the installation via Windows Update!

If you want to get the Update, you have to manually search for the updae using “Settings” -> “Updates and Security” and ten clicking on “Search for Updates”.

Microsoft wants to ensure that incomatible machines won’t get the update. On compatible machines you will see the update and be able to install it then.

So finally it should be safe to update to Fall Creator’s Update now without a machine failing to boot later on.
