Yesterday AI in elevators, today…
…we think of the worst case. What would happen
if the ropes of the elevator cabin snap and the
emergency brakes are failing to function. Would it
help to jump then and reduce impact?

When it comes to elevators, the technology has not yet
advanced much. The most advanced elevators allow you
to pre-select the floor you want to go to and (if there are
multiple shafts available) assign one to you.
Imagine this. You call for the elevator, the dors open, you
start walking into it and all of a sudden, the elevator starts
moving and you see your life flashing before your eyes.
What sounds like a bad horror movie, actually became real!
Impatience. Companion of our modern time. Rush hour, hurry, stress… they
all belong to the impatience that causes lots of trouble. The harmless things
are barging, the harming things range from some pain over to severe injuries
up to death as the worst thing to happen because of impatience.
