Comets can be rarely seen and in the past, there were not many pics or even videos
available. However in the change of time, more and more equipment makes it possible
to catch these rare moments when extraterrestial events occur, such as falling stars.
A brasilian observatory has put such a timeshifting video online for your pleasure.

in Frankfurt, someone has also spotted a comet just at christmas eve (24.12.11) at approximately 5:15p.m.

However I cannot confirm for sure if it is a real comet or just some sort of light/firework flying thru the sky…
