How good are foldable phones?
So Samsung’s new flagship is out and has already
been tested. Especially when it comes to stability
of the all-new Ultra Thin Glass (UTG). One well
known video blogger (JRE) did it the hard way.
So how solid is the glass cover that protects the display. Will it shatter upon strong punctual pressure? What about the hinge? Is it now protected against dust and dirt?
See the answer here (JRE on YouTube): Click here
Or here, if the above link no longer works:
Oh and if you think the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is the only one of it’s kind, then you’re wrong because Motorola also has a new star on the market.
The Motorola RAZR 2020 had to go through the testing parcours from JRE as well: Click here
Or watch here if the above link no longer works:
As expected, the UTG from Samsung is not more durable than the normal foil-covered OLED of the Motorola RAZR 2020 and the Samsung Galaxy Fold. So this “glass” is nothing more than marketing blah blah.
Sad to see the Motorola RAZR being bent to death this harsh. Normally no one would sress the hinges of this phone so much that the hinge mechanism would cut into the back of the screen.
Why is there so much destruction?
