If you thought, you’re safe to talk when around
on the streets, think again. According to a company
called WiSpear, it is now possible to hack your
smartphone from 500 to 1000m using a van.

The van called SpearHead 360 is supposed to track your smartphone from a safe distance of 500 to 1000m and gather all information they want. With  specialized surveillance technology they are able to sniff all incoming and outgoing traffic on your smartphone while hiding in a safe distance.

Ist this the new form of modern mass surveillance on people? Of course they say the technology is so expensive that it’ll be used for special investigation only. But we all know that once such a technology becomes available, the borders for common mass surveillance are soon to be torn down.  We have all seen that with internet traffic and mass data collection already…
