Bug Zappers are practical! Instead of squashing the insects and leaving a
bloody pulp on the object the bug is squashed on, the “more human” way
is to electrocute the bug. There are several gadgets available and one of
them is the Bug Zapper racket. A tennis racket for zapping bugs.

However there are idiots around, who seem to have misinterpreted the usage of this item and use it for other activities but bug zapping.
