Odd-behaving processed food
Usually most food in Asia (China, Japan preferably) is consumed raw
to half-raw or barely-coocked. This sometimes leads to awkward and
icky scenes at the table. For example the squid that begins to twitch
once garnished with soy and vinegar sauce. (watch video here).

And yes, it would spoil my appetite indeed. Although the asian cuisine is said to be quite healthy, well, it would take a lot to convince me eating a still-alive creature… ewwww!
