When you think of CCTV the first thought is mostly of total control!
In the following video it is the medium to get a rogue taxi driver behind
bars. So what happened? A passenger of a taxi driver stated that he
wants to stop the ride when the taxometer reaches 6 pounds.

Nothing special so far! I rarely do that too when noticing that my money won’t cover a full ride home! Never had a problem so far also!

In this case, the passenger was unlucky! The taxi driver finally stopped, when the taxometer was above 8 pounds and thus over the limit the passenger set (as he probably couldn’t afford more also). After a harsh and rough discussion and argumentation, the passenger finally managed to get out of the taxi. Really annoyed of that, the passenger decided to report the intolerant taxi driver by taking a picture of him and the taxi’s licence number.

He’d better not have decided to do likewise as the taxi driver then decided to put the pedal on the medal! With painful consequences for the passenger: a broken hand and painful head injuries were the result. The taxi driver decided to do a hit&run!

However a Public CCTV pole recorded all that. The police later caught the rogue taxi driver. A court sued the taxi driver for 6 months of arrest and a 2-years driving prohibition.
