Habemus papam! Pope Francis I.
At 7:13p.m. the wait was finally over. The Vatican has a new pope! Pope Francis I.
has officially been elected as the new pope of the catholic church. Jorge Mario
Bergoglio (⁕17.12.1936) is the official successor of Pope Benedict XVI who has
officially receded from office on February 11th, 2013.
The new pope has actually spoken the “urbi et orbi” and has called all together to introduce a new papal era. The sedisvacancy is officially over! On 8:13p.m. Pope Francis I. has appeared on the balcony near the Sistine Chapel and spoke to all his followers who have waited forhours to see their new pope. Rain has made the wait a little more stressful but it seems as if it was worth the wait!
