It seems as if german cities and public services are
more often a target for ransomware. Just few days ago
the city page of Frankfurt/Main has been taken down
as Emotet has infected the server systems the site is on.

Frankfurt has stated that they’re back online. But now Bad Homburg is affected and also their city site as well as other public services are unavailable. Unlike Frankfurt, however, Bad Homburg was not able yet to name the malware that has infected their site.

The system administrators in Bad Homburg have precautiously taken down all systems in order to remove the malware and bring back the systems as fast as possible.
