Flooding is one of the most dangerous and destroying
nature catastrophes the world can face. Silent rivers
become devastating monsters, tearing down everything
in it’s path. Here’s an interesting prevention method.

In the province Heilongjiang, China the governmental authorities have found an innovative way to prevent flooding of the river. They open the ice layer at a length of 2.7 kilometres to have the water flow freely.

The video shows an interesting spectacle when the detonation of the explosives is initiated.
