{"id":85,"date":"2011-06-08T09:51:07","date_gmt":"2011-06-08T07:51:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.netspark.de\/?p=85"},"modified":"2011-07-25T09:09:27","modified_gmt":"2011-07-25T07:09:27","slug":"nintendo-did-it-again-finally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.netspark.de\/?p=85","title":{"rendered":"Nintendo did it again&#8230; finally!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, Nintendo revealed their new game console, called the Wii U,<br \/>\nto the public on the E3 in Los Angeles.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nWhat will come to us looks outrageously promising:<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->A FullHD-capable (yep, you read right: Full 1920x1080p !!!) game console with astonishing graphics, small as it&#8217;s very successful predecessor, the Wii, with a somewhat out-of-the-future controller-pad.<\/p>\n<p>It is expected, that the console will hit stores in early 2012, however I don&#8217;t put up my hopes too high that it will come out in the near future.<br \/>\nBesides would it be great if the console would hit stores before christmas shopping time as it is (after more than 4 years) the most awaited follow-up to the original Wii.<\/p>\n<p>What is really cool and not a cheap copycat to microsoft&#8217;s Kinect or Sony&#8217;s Move, is the Gamepad what really earns it&#8217;s name now(!).<br \/>\nContent of the Wii U base unit is streamed directly to the controller and thus you can play games on the controller if other ppl want to watch something on TV!<br \/>\nSo no more bickering about a blocked TV. If daddy wants to watch a football game, junior may still play his favourite game!<br \/>\nAnother cool feature is that games in conjuction with the pad can now make use of four possible positioning techniques.<\/p>\n<p>These are: <strong>Front camera, rear camera, movement sensor, acceleration sensor<\/strong><br \/>\nYou may say: hey, saw this at MS and Sony also! Right but in Nintendo&#8217;s solution, makes intensive use of the camera faced to you and regarding your movements with your head while simultaneously recording the surrounding or the TV screen with the rear camera.<\/p>\n<p>The rest is assisted by the gyromotional sensors that record and forward all movement impacted to the controller unit.<br \/>\nBut believe me: You really don&#8217;t wanna smash that biggie (8 inches at last!) into your very expensive TV set.<br \/>\nI think, the TV owner might not be too happy about that. I still wonder how Nintendo will solve the accidental &#8220;come-loose&#8221;-problem that is the cause for many TV damages and personal injuries!
