In this case, however,
Acer seems to fire it’s aces from it’s sleeves

We talk about the Acer Liquid S2 phablet being the first phone tablet at 6″ form factor to record 4K or better say QFHD videos. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip has to process 24 times 8MPixels per second.

Alluring and stylish – Acer’s Liquid S2

Equipped with 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory, the data side is equipped standard but with actual microSDXC cards, you can boost the internal memory up to 80GB which is sufficient for most users.

The FullHD display is for sure one of the other alluring factors of this phablet and could steal the show from Samsung’s already announced Galaxy Note 3.

With Android 4.2.2, the phablet will come with an actual version of Android being able to serve this little pixel fracker. Test have to show if it can prove itself to be the Uber-Phone/mini tablet on the actual phablet market.

But what we see here, is already very promising.

For those who are now asking about an MSRP… sorry dudes, I was not able to determine any so far but expect prices above the magic 500 US$ border.

Tech Specs

Operating System: Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS with Float UI
Processor (CPU): 2.2 GHz Quad-core Krait 400
System on Chip (SoC): MSM8974 Qualcomm Snapdragon 800
GPU: Adreno 330
RAM : 2 GB DDR3
SIM form factor: Micro SIM
Network 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
Network 3G: HSDPA 900/2100 MHz
Network 4G: LTE 800/1800/2600 MHz GPRS/EDGE (Class 12)
Network speeds: HSDPA – 42.2 Mbps, HSUPA – 5.76 Mbps, LTE-A (Cat4) – 50 Mbps UL, 150 Mbps DL
Camera (Rear): 13 MP
Camera (Front): 2 MP
Camera Features: LED flash, Autofocus, Digital zoom, Video calling, Geo tagging, 27 MP panorama photos, 4K@30fps and 1080p@60fps video recording
Internal Storage: 16 GB
External Storage: Expandable up to 80GB via microSDXC card (64GB)
Display Size: 6″, 1920×1080 (FHD), 367 ppi, IPS capacitive LCD
Display glass: Corning Gorilla Glass 3
Audio formats: .aac, .amr, .ogg, .m4a, .mid, .mp3, .wav
Video formats: .3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .wmv9, .avi
FM Radio Stereo FM radio with RDS
3.5mm audio jack: Yes
Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac @667Mbps, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot
Bluetooth: Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP Profile
NFC: Yes
Navigation: A-GPS with GLONASS
Sensors: Gyro, proximity, compass, accelerometer
USB: microUSB v2.0
Dimensions: 6.54 x 3.39 x 0.35 inches
Weight 197g
Battery 3300 mAh Li-Ion battery
Standby Time: (not tested yet)
Talk Time: up to 9 hours GSM / up to 5.5h UMTS
Standby time: up to 250hrs

Now there’s one more question: Is Acer going to equip their upcoming tablets also with this high-end camera?
