With a base clock of 1.8GHz the processor even clocks faster than the i7-1065G7 which is also a Ultra-low-Power CPU designed for ultraportable devices. The i7-1065G7 comes with 6 cores / 12 threads and 8 MB Cache. However the base clock is 1.3GHz and the Uncore Boost is capped at 3.9GHz. Main problem for Intel is again the fact that they only fab at 10nm while AMD is fabbing at 7nm for quite some time. This allows AMD to reach a good boost in CPU power per watt against Intel.

But not only the CPU part has advantages over the Intel processor. Also the Radeon IGPU comes with quite high clocking and enough cores to allow some gaming on the Ultrabook without the need to switch down to HD-ready or even below in order to get moderate frame rates above 30fps. As a comparison, the Iris Plus IGPU of Intel comes with a target clocking of 1100MHz which is far away from what AMD offers. No wonder that AMD will achieve moderate frame rates even in FullHD resolution.

It seems as if AMD has done it right this time and Intel will have to rethink their strategy. AMD is also setting a new milestone in mobile gaming at moderate power consumption (CPU takes about 50 Watts at maximum)

Their H series also sets new records in mobile gaming when it comes to IGPU-based notebooks where content creation is the main aspect.
