\nand Peugeot is a closed deal! The 50-billion US$ deal will be
\nfully done within the next 12 to 15 months and the new alliance

The deal however has still to be approved by the Competition authorities. Fiat had not set any pace in eMobility with Chrysler when Sergio Marchonne was CEO of Fiat-Chrysler. So the best-selling cars of Fiat-Chrysler are the big SUVs and towncars that take a lot of gas per mile (naming Jeep and Dodge here as brands).<\/p>\n

Peugeot is quite advanced when it comes to eMobility making this merger an opportunity for Peugeot to set foot in the US market as well. But also Fiat-Chrysler might take advantage from Peugeot’s knowledge in eMobility.<\/p>\n

With 400’000 employees the new-formed company intends to issue 8.7 million cars per year. Only VW, Toyota, and Renault-Nissan would have higher yields.<\/p>\n

Peugeot (PSA) has the following brands: Peugeot, Citro\u00ebn and Opel, while Fiat-Chrysler has these brands: Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Lancia oder Maserati.<\/p>\n

Opel is the newest addition to PSA and since 2017 the company is trimmed to have good financial reports and high earnings.<\/p>\n
