Paypal today made his next step to be one of the unappealing payment services
\nWhen they forced Rossmann (a german drugstore chain) to unlist cigars from
\nCuba out of their portfolio as otherwise PayPal would quit the cooperation with
\nRossmann, the drugstore company finally decided to cancel complete PayPal.<\/p>\n
Reason for the rather unorthodox methods, PayPal is doing to his customers is a trade embargo between the USA and Cuba.<\/p>\n
Paypal still thinks to enforce this embargo as Barack Obama seems to go the opposite direction and to combine Cuba and USA again.<\/p>\n
I like Rossmann for having enough guts to boycott PayPal rather than bending down and dismiss cuban cigars.<\/p>\n
Hello USA! We still live in a world of free opportunity and rights to buy, what we like. If you think you have to put your sights onto all people in the world, you won’t succeed. And Rossmann has provven this to you and (more exactly) PayPal! It is time that you have to accept that you can’t control the whole world! This will simply not work!<\/p>\n

we are sorry to inform you that we do not offer payment via PayPal.<\/p>\n
We want to inform you the reason for this: The payment service provider PayPal has forced Rossman Online GmbH – and other german resellers – to stop the sale of products from Cuba. PayPal otherwise would threat us with Dismissal of the bussiness contract. PayPal has it’s head office in USA and justifies it’s demand, that they therefore have to enforce the US embargo against Cuba with their foreign headquarters also.<\/p>\n
despite the fact that many of our customers are using PayPal, we do not want to obey to this demand. We are convinced that we act in your interest. From our point of view there’s no reason why US laws have to be applied here (in Germany). Much more important: We bridle against the fact that you would be patronized this way and being robbed of your free decision. We hope to act in your interest.<\/p>\n
If you want to support us wit this, please use other payment methods such as credit cards, instant payment, direct debit or prepayment.<\/p>\n
