I still wonder what i should do on my upcoming 33rd birthday. I still have no plans nor
an idea. and there’s only 60 days left to plan someting, prepare for it and possible guests
and the like. Holding a birthday party can be a real hassle but on the other hand you will
for sure have lots of fun later on. So I’d better start thinking about what to do…
The next difficult task is that you have to invite your friends and hope to catch them at a time where they are not into lots of appointments at work or have holidays.
Yeah, the past times when we were young and at school had many advantages. You had lots of time to spend free… Today, all my friends are in more or less time-consuming jobs and have more or less money on the side to spend.
The geographical separation (most of my friends are located in Munich, that is 464km away from Bern) also applies some extra-difficulty.
But one of the main advantages is that all of us mostly have an own flat to host at least 4 people or more. In earlier times, it gave much of a discussion with your parents if you planned to hold a bigger birthday party…
However being over 18, gives you much more opportunities to celebrate your birthday while the main disadvantage can be that you can also get into trouble with police and other security authorities, if you or your friends misbehave in public.
All in all, days have changed, but the thrill to have a birthday party still is there and the similarity of what to do on your birthday party hasn’t changed much.
The hope that most of my friends might probably visit me on my 33rd birthday is still up and makes me looking forward to a great party. Let’s see what the time will bring up! Time to do some drafts, I guess…

the most easiest way, would be to pack up you friends in Bern and travel to Munich for a real big Party! ;)
The most comfortable way would be sending invites to us all, and hope that most of us will come.
Either way, there will be a good party with more or less people missing.
For myself, I hope that I will have the chance to come to you, but if not, my visit is guaranteed this year! ;) And this is gonna be a party itself!
Anyway, I hope that you will find a good way to deal with the issues.
By the way: You may update your Blog to the newest version.

Wouldn’t be that bad as you would also get my favorite bar to know where I often have my “blue-screens” with Situ.
About my blog: Yupp, I know that I should update to 3.2.1 but as for now, my MySQL DB isn’t migrated to version 5 so far. Still have to contact the webhoster to switch the MySQL-version. At least PHP is up to code as All-Inkl does a great job here and offers you to control which version of PHP to use by simply editing the htaccess file. Convenient and smart. Not like the jerks at Strato or 1&1 who charge you lots of simoleons for such updates…
But time will come… soner o later… time will come ;)
And about your visit… Am greatly looking forward to have you in Bern for some great days!
And please announce your approach approx 3 weeks in advance so I can get all my people here to be in Bern also when you’re there. Especially Situ is very busy and has to plan a bit in advance. Csaba should be there (hopefully) and the others are more or less very spontaneous… like me ;)
