Microsoft advertising Edge?
It seems as if Microsoft is testing how to make Edge
appealing to users of other browsers like Firefox.
A screenshot twittered by WindowsLatest shows that
Microsoft is placing a hint to their newest browser.

Firefox gets 71! It seems as if the devs of Firefox want to
close up on Chrome and have just released Firefox 71.
With the nightly build being released, users can check out
the new kiosk mode which disables menu and key bindings.
It appears as if Firefox has some problems with Addon installation
and activation. If your Firefox is Version 66.0.3 and older, you’ll find
most if not all of your addons being deactivated. Reason for this is
an expired SSL-certificate that is used by Firefox and mozilla.
If you recently updated your firefox, you might have experienced
problems with HTTPS sites. Main problem for the ominous
SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_USER problem are certificates from a
handful of virus scanners. Among them are Kaspersky and Avast.
If you do so, then you’d better consider upgrading your browser.
There are several HTML5-based security holes that can be used
to allow malicious code being executed on your machine. The
main source are MITM attacks. Fixes are already available.
We all know it: We launch our favourite browser and
suddenly after an update that darn thing is driving us
nuts with new error messages we haven’t seen before.
In this case it’s the SSL certificates.
TLS certificates indicating secure connections are
today’s gurantee that the site you’re visiting is
using secure connections or your transmitted data.
However it seems that not every TLS certificate…
The developers team of the Mozilla Foundation have
decided to drop the RSS feed reader from Firefox.
According to some statistics they say that 99.9% of
all Firefox users wouldn’t use that feature anyway.
Firefox has released the new version of it’s browser. With Version 29 there
are a bunch of new things to look at: The Interface has been redesigned and
is now called “Australis”. Thus you’ll probably have noticed that the big
orange Firefox Menu button is now missing.
Where the Mozilla project has dropped the 64bit support on
Firefox, a small team of developers has picked up the idea
again to release the newest version of firefox in 64bit. This
Firefox fork has the Social API included.
As you might have noticed, I made some changes to my blog. My blog is active
and living. And with it, also the techniques usable to this date will also take place
here. As you probably noticed when using an outdated browser, you will see a
green ribbon show up to update your browser. See my blog yesterday, why!
There it is, the shiny new version of Firefox. Overhauled with new features, an
improved display engine and a faster javscript engine this new version shall
bring a new browser experience. However have not many users digested the
sixth major release, the seventh is still much propagated.
Okay, Mozilla Firefox is currently known to be the second Google Chrome
concerning release speed of major releases… While I have just posted that
Firefox 7 is released and 8 is currently in beta status, Mozilla seems to work
on the next version also. The new things? Tablet support! Sounds great!
So… there we have it… the new version of Firefox… AGAIN! Not only have
I updated to Version 6 only 1 month ago, no, I also had to update all the
plugins as well and not every plugin has been transcoded to be compatible
with version 6 yet. I understand the frustration of users AND programmers!
Today, The Mozilla foundation announced that Version 6 of their famous
browser is being released. Impressive, I say, have I upgraded to
Version 4 just some months ago. So why is Mozilla changing the major release
numbers so quickly now, compared to version 3 of this browser?
