R.I.P. – Burt Reynolds (+82)

Another great actor has died yesterday. Burt Reynolds,
famous for his various roles in over a hundred fims and
series has died of a heart attack yesterday. He had a
heart operation back in 2010.

Burton Leon Milo Reynolds how his formal name was, has been born on February 11th, 1936 in Lansing, MI and died on September 6th, 2018 in Jupiter, FL

In 1978 he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in L.A.

He was also well-known for his role in Smokey and the Bandit in 1977. For his film “Boogie Nights” in 1996 he was nominated as best Supporting Actor and finally won the Oscar for that nomination.

But also other films were great, for example “Deliverance”, “Boogie Nights”, “Evening Shades”

He had mentionnable relationships with Sally Field (also acting in “Smokey And The Bandit”) and with Loni Anderson. The later Relationship ended with a very media-pesent divorce. When the message of Burt Reynold’s death was issued she however stated that she and their son would miss his characteristic laugh.

Also other media is remembering and honoring Burt Reynolds by issuing various arcive videos from live shows where he had been interviewed.

The race between the Truck driver called Smokey (Jerry Reed, 2008, age 71), the Sherrif Buford T.Justice (Jackie Gleason, 1987, age 71) and him was legendary. Jerry Reed also composed the music for the film as he himself was also a country music singer and musician.

Here’s the title music with some scenes from the film itself:

If you don’t know this movie, then you should get the DVD and enjoy it!

Rest in peace, Burt Reynolds! The world has lost another great actor again!
