Again a bloody shooting in the USA

Just few weeks after the massacre in Newtown where many people lost their
lives, another massacre hit Albuquerque, NM. A teenager aged 15 has shot
five people with an assoult rifle. Just few days before, Barack Obama has
given out proposals that make it harder to obtain heavy weaponry.

Also the NRA has to face the facts. In no other country the misuse of weapons is so extreme as in the USA. The fact, that a 15-years-old teenager could get access on an assault rifle and kill 5 people lets the questions come up, how the teenager got access to that weapon and what made him kill 5 innocent people.

Of course, Home Defense is an important issue for the USA as the crime rate is rather high but the question is, at what price does the country allow to have everyone heavy armory at home that could tempt teenagers to play wild west?

Seriously. This ain’t no game anymore. One might feel unsecure in the USA when there’s news about assaults and massacres in the news so often. When you look at Switzerland for example, then you’ll notice that also there, most of the people have weapons at home. But one thing is different: The weapons are securely locked and access to them is not as easy as one might think. Of course, also Switzerland is shattered by massacre news in the past. But they were less in number than in the USA in the past.

The USA and the NRA will have to reconsider their aspects about weapons at home. And one thing is for sure: Teenagers may not have such easy access to heavy weaponry as it is fact of today. It’ll be interesting to see how Barack Obama is going to get the weaponry problem under control…

Until then, one may hope that there are no more massacres ongoing where teenagers use assault rifles to eradicate innocent peoples’ lives!
